From a multilingual network of Berlin authors and literary activists that has been growing since 1995, our association was founded in 2005. Since then, we have dedicated ourselves to discovering contemporary Berlin literature in all its diversity: We bring languages and genres together and mix literary energy into the everyday life of the big city. In addition to city-wide literary salons and reading series, the multilingual discovery series PARATAXE and our literary online magazine stadtsprachen.de, the Berlin Asia Arts Festival is currently our most important project.

C*SPACE is a creative space in a former furniture factory in Berlin Weißensee. With its founders having lived in China for 16 years and their passion to create connections the place has become one of the informal hubs for the Asia-Berlin community. Since 2020 the "„POP-UP TEAHOUSE BERLIN" - this year contributing to the Berlin Asia Arts Festival - has been happening here: a social space where anything is possible from 'hanging out together' over cups of teas to salons for socio-political dialogues or performing arts on the teahouse stage. A uniqueness at C*SPACE is also the permanent art work "Common Space- Everything flows 一切皆流" by Qian Geng 钱赓.
