Zoncy Heavenly is an interdisciplinary artist with a study focus on immateriality in body-based arts, contemporary concepts in phenomenology, and collective trauma. She is a cultural feminist who has been working to end the impunity of the Tatmadaw (Myanmar Military) for the sex crimes they have been committing throughout the 70-year history of the Myanmar civil war. In January 2013, she co-established the Diverze Youth Art Platform to promote minority rights and culture by applying arts as an advocacy tool for conflict transformation. She has performed at different sites, from a post ground of a revolution force on the Myanmar-China border to Berlin Brandenburg Gate and many International performance art festivals in Asia and beyond. She was an Academy Schloss Solitude Fellow in 2019 and DAAD Artist in Berlin Program Fellow in 2022 in Germany.
