WU Qin

Wu Qin is a Chinese writer, editor, and activist. Her work focuses on internationalist movements, with a particular interest in borders, mobility, and the lasting legacies of globalization. Her essays and stories have been published in various Chinese, English, and German media outlets and publications, including Initium Media, Made in China Journal, and the magazine of the Süddeutsche Zeitung. In 2023, she won second prize in the Frontline Fellowship for Chinese Creative Nonfiction.

She is part of the Berlin-based artivism collective Tofu Stand and its associated publishing house Tofulogy, which focuses on international solidarity from the perspective of Chinese activists.

Before moving from Beijing to Berlin in 2023, she worked for eight years as an editor for cultural and intellectual pages in mainland China.
