
Norio Takasugi, born in Shizuoka, Japan in 1973, is a renowned artist who has lived and worked in Berlin since 2004. His academic career began in 1992 at the renowned Musashino Art University in Tokyo, where he first studied arts and crafts design, followed by studies in sculpture. In 1999, he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree there.
Takasugi's work has been recognized in numerous exhibitions in both solo and group presentations. His solo shows "Rote und weiße Pflaumen" (2018) and "Dividuum" (2017), both at Galerie Albrecht, Berlin, and "Sammlung" at Waschhaus Dominikanerkloster in Prenzlau (2014) are noteworthy. He also participated in group exhibitions such as "wabi sabi" at Japanmuseum SieboldHuis in Leiden (2022), "Perfectly Imperfect" at Ibasho Gallery in Antwerp (2023), "Labor Berlin 12: Drifting" at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin (2012).
With his multifaceted art, Norio Takasugi is a recognized figure in the contemporary art scene.
