Mui Poopoksakul is a Bangkok-born and Berlin-based lawyer and literary translator. With a special interest in contemporary literature, she has worked extensively with some of Thailand’s most acclaimed living authors. Her book-length translations include The Understory by Saneh Sangsuk (Peirene Press and Deep Vellum), Bright by Duanwad Pimwana (Two Lines Press), and Moving Parts by Prabda Yoon (Tilted Axis Press). Her debut translation, Yoon’s The Sad Part Was, first published in the UK in 2017, will be released in the US this summer by Tilted Axis Press.
