This is how Ngoc Anh Nguyen, born in 1992, grew up in Boxberg near Weißwasser in Saxony. For a long time, they were the only Vietnamese family in the town of 1,000 inhabitants. After reunification, the parents earned their money with a snack stall at the weekly market or selling food at village festivals. Their multiple affiliations and related multi-perspective experiences are reflected in their art, both lyrically and musically.
